Putin is doing what he thinks will preserve/expand Russian power and those of the oligarchs that dominate Russia. Chaos in the West allows Russians to expand their influence without interference, investigation, prosecutions, etc., and having Democrats fend off fights from the likes of Gabbard weakens the Democrats ahead of the fight with Trump, who does their bidding even without realizing he’s helping Russia (and I think he knows, but just doesn’t care).

Right. I know this. What I’m wondering aloud is how the left can clearly see Putin is homophobic, racist, a plutocratic, and an imperialist and yet echo his bs.
