Somewhere in comparing a taco and a burrito, doesn’t masa versus flour matter? I’ve never seen masa burrito, though given regionality it could totally exist and I’m just haven’t been exposed with my mostly-Americanized consumption of Mexican food.

Also, burritos are specifically North Mexican (Ciudad Juarez) and big thick ones started in San Fransisco.

Food taxonomy fascinates me, adit also is never makes full sense, but I’d want to see the argument for burrito being a taco.

Absolutely. The masa is crucial in distinguishing. There may be a masa burrito somewhere, but it would be a freak of nature shunned by all decent people.
