I just popped in Blade Runner to provide some background ambiance, and I noticed that it’s set in 2019. That means we have a mere 7 years to turn the planet into a barely-habitable shit hole, establish labor colonies on Mars, design and perfect sentient synthetic life forms without any regard for their autonomy, and build flying cars. SKYNET was supposed to become self-aware on August 14, 1997. We need to get our shit together, people! We’re way behind schedule.
