As long as I’m on this list of contrarians I might as well chime in on the topic….
I’m not offended. It wasn’t really a very classy thing to say but I just can’t work up any outrage over this one.

Then you have never spent time with special needs kids. Most haven’t so most don’t find this especially offensive. In most social situations making fun of the impaired is either laughed at or at least tolerated so long as it is among friends and out of the public ear.

This was national TV.

Not cool at all in my inconsequential opinion, but hey what the hell. He was just making fun trying to connect with regular folks and all.
