My word, no. Men of God who imagine they’ve got God’s ear have prayed for the death of their enemies from the moment they learned of the efficacy of prayer fantasized that mumbling and making gestures had any effect on anything. It is just a matter of timing - that is to say, if you get the timing right, some idiots will always fall for the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. Death is quite certain, when entrusted to God period.
