Ladycatnip-

Well said. Obama can speak for himself, but it’s insulting and denigrating to essentially say that everyone can become like the Nazi’s were. IMO the Nazi’s, particularly the Nazi’s who murdered Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, and so may others, with the intent to exterminate them were not anything close to human. I believe the same thing about terrorists, serial killers, and anyone who murders innocent children, women and men for some twisted, nefarious purpose. They are evil monsters, not humans.

Well doesn’t that make life easy for you.
However, and I’m not calling you names, so make of what you will, but that exact sentiment you expressed above is what allows people to slip into evilness.
To dehumanize people is the first step in persecuting them.
I know in the case of Child rapists it’s hard, but that is the effort necessary to keep one soul.
It’s really easy to hate, it’s really hard to understand.
It’s even harder for a hater to see that others who don’t share his conviction are not the enemy, and that the act of understanding DOES NOT connote acceptance.
I can despise an evil man, and personally do harm to anyone who would hurt my family, or country, but I will not pretend they are not human.
