Hoping a bit of that is the structural explosion of social medial-driven ‘groupishness’, with a large overlap in adherents. Would love to see a study of multiple-group ‘joiners’.

And what does “joiner” mean anyways? Do you pay dues to an organization or at least get on a mailing list?
