Trump friend and CEO of Newsmax, Christopher Ruddy, has published an op-ed urging Trump to keep his promise of universal coverage and expand Medicaid. This would be a very smart move on Trump’s part.

Except the only way to do that would be to slash military spending. Meanwhile Trump is slashing everything else and adding to the defense budget. So even if he had a partner in Ryan who wanted to work towards that goal, and he doesn’t, his own spending priorities are completely antithetical.
