If George Orwell and Ernest Hemingway were on the same side… that’s the good side.

I noticed as a kid that several American WW2 films, including Casablanca and Sahara specifically mentioned characters fighting the fascists in Spain as significant points.

Franco was bad business and we knew it at the time.
