Absolutely no justification to bring a weapon to a Town Hall, whether the speaker is the President or anyone else. The only reasons are to be provocative & intimidating.
However that does not tar all that showed up to air their grievances.

My ex father-in-law still likes to walk around town with his ‘side arm.’ He is an ultra dyed in the wool teachers union liberal. If he went to a town hall, he would probably carry his 357 no matter if it were a Rep or Dem speaking. Needless to say, loons come in all shapes and sizes.
