Ever wonder how a previously unknown (to the public) aging nuclear physicist, whose primary job these past couple of decades has been churning out graduate students, can suddenly have opinion pieces of his featured in the world’s supposedly leading business paper, about a field which is not his speciality?

Well?

The answer to that is the same one to this:

Ever wonder how it came to be that in 2012 a leading news outlet would give a platform for thousands of ugly and racist comments, something which the leading newspapers and televisions networks would shun previously?

The answer is this: Because it makes Rupert Murdoch lots of money.
