Jon Huntsman would be awesome LOL. He probably hasn’t given up on running for POTUS in 2016 though, so he couldn’t accept the job. Dick Lugar is too old probably, but his foreign policy knowledge can’t be argued. Hagel would be another good choice.

Either of the three would be better and funnier than a Gore nomination. I’ve always found Gore to be kinda dull. I didn’t vote for Bush or Gore in 2000 because I thought both were dim bulbs.
