Ah, they are making it a States Right’s issue.

Now isn’t that a kick in the pants to the GOP.

In the Windsor case that they agreed to hear a woman who went to Canada to marry her long time partner later inherited her estate. Because of DOMA the woman had to pay $400,000 in estate taxes that she would not have had to pay if the Feds recognized her marriage.

Discrimination under the law? Sure sounds like it.
