It’s a long article, but this near the end sticks out:

The British Medical Journal is an anti-gun publication. And what happened in Australia politically isn’t going to happen here. The media call yell if it wants, but the Congress will simply ignore them, secure in the fact that in two years most voters won’t show up for the off year election and of those that do pro-gun voters will outnumber anti-gun voters by a large margin.
