It’s a nonsensical update of Ronald Reagan’s classic “ordinary taxpayer goes to the grocery to buy a pound of hamburger meat and while there sees a ‘strapping young buck’ buying steak with food stamps’.”

The implication is that the person “working 70 hours a week” is oppressed by government demands for his money and the person getting government assistance is mooching. Unlike the Reagan version, however, there is no racial subtext to the”Some-ecard”.

Do you really think the sender of that doesn’t believe moocher = black? They may be smart enough not to say it out loud, but I’d be willing to bet they believe it.
