I was born in ‘81. I’m reasonably confident that, should I live to old age, I will witness the first humans step foot on Mars.

My Grandfather was born in 1889, and died in 1982. His life started before there were airplanes and went beyond the moon landings. When he was born, the automobile, the telephone, the electric light, the motion picture were all in their infancy.
