David French, writing for the National Review, claims the Mayor of Nashville speaking out against the so-called “Nashville Statement” is inappropriate interference of the state in church affairs.

He also asserts (without evidence) that progressives are not inclusive of Christianity, which would likely be a surprise to many progressives who are Christians.

Of course, the real issue Mr. French is pushing is “if you aren’t following my version of Christianity, you’re not a Christian” problem that has dogged Christianity since its founding.
