I know I push Linux Mint like a corner dealer, but I really do like it, and speaking as an IT professional, it has everything you need in an operating system, plus it uses jack shit for memory. Then again, I put my mother in law in a Chromebook 4 years ago and that’s all she needs for email, browsing, and doing a little shopping.
Simplicity is key. If something isn’t supported on Linux I’ll add a mobile emulator, because everything is mobile first these days.
