Olivia may be right — perhaps a majority of Texans are not red. But too many states that may actually be purple or even blue have perfected voting suppression to silence the voices of the majority. Without federal laws — as was needed in the 1960’s through the VRA and the 24th Amendment — there may be no way to overturn the new wave of racist and anti-democratic legislation to stop people from voting, especially given the damage from this most evil of Supreme Courts.

voter turnout could totally counteract most of the effects at suppression
there’s far too many people who arent registered
and far too many registered who dont vote

they could not hold that wave back
and you certainly couldn’t cull out just one party
