In the end, a party that wants to win the White House has to do so. Cain still has a decent shot (that ad with the smoking aide that was so derided here has actually helped rather than hurt him by getting him visibility), but he’s really the only alternative at this point. Perry is falling apart, and frankly Bachmann has made herself unelectable.
