Lance may have had a lot of natural talent and force of will, but this will eventually end badly (well, worse than it already is) for Armstrong, I’m afraid; it wouldn’t surprise me if the DOJ doesn’t eventually decide to put criminal charges (fraud, conspiracy to defraud, violations of the RICO Act, etc.) on him and other members of the USPS teams Lance led. However, someone more versed in the law than I am will have to pontificate on that; but here’s something everyone should know by now:

Don’t fuck with the Feds.

Sounds like Lance is about to find this out, the hard way.

Given the conspiratorial nature of the doping scandal, RICO charges are a possibility, and they are a fearsome thing. If RICO were involved, Lance Armstrong could be found guilty of every crime committed by everyone in the doping ring.

RICO is the kind of case that sends you to prison for life.
