Barry Rubin: I wish to respond to a vicious personal attack on me in this thread which presumably is by someone hiding their true political positions. I am a scholar who has studied the Middle East for more than 30 years and my work focuses on this issue. I have never met any Euro-Fascists or written anything that could be construed as support—I’ve never even mentioned—the groups criticized on this site. LGF is the ONLY site I go to every day and I have written Charles Johnson in the past that I like his political stance generally. Some sites “thank” me but I have never sent them anything directly. They are only responding to the receipt of my articles, which are sent out to more than 16,000 people on the list. As for claims that I think President Obama supports the Gaza flotilla, that’s ridiculous and in fact what I have written on this precise subject is the exact opposite. Anyone interested in my work can visit my site and see for themselves. Thanks to those who have defended me here. Beware of slanders with no evidence and with hidden agendas. Best wishes.
