Quite frankly, there isn’t much the Palestinians have an option to do. Maintain the cease-fire is really the only thing they can do. Which, I’m sure you will point out, has not had a great track record.

But again, what is to stop a dozen bloodthirsty terrorists from acting on behalf of all of Palestine? The average Palestinian has the ability to control his own actions, and little else. And no, that’s not an excuse for the continuation of violence.

But again, there is little that the Palestinians can actually do for themselves. They are not a state. They don’t control their own borders. They don’t control their own land. Unless they somehow gain the power to ensure that not a single person becomes a terrorist? Which not even the United States can do here.

How about they return Gilad Shalit, as a gesture of good faith, just like Israel removed 8,000 Jews from Gaza.
