re: #795 turn

I don’t work, I’m employed. heh that sums it up nicely. I voted to reject the measures precisely to let it break.

Yep, the hubby always get a big laugh with that line. Although in his workplace, they used to have 28 people, now they’re down to 6 to do the same work so none of them are what one would call a slacker.

Thank heavens that probably the only ones who turned out yesterday to vote were conservatives, and we’ve all had it with the never-ending borrowing so the State can continue to fund its slate of do-gooder handout Ponzi schemes and social experiments on our backs (and wallets). Although even my liberal mother and aunt voted down everything except that last one (no politicians get raises when the state’s in a deficit year).

Personally, I feel that San Quentin would look great if they tore down that decaying eyesore and built a bunch of huge office towers on it. Let some big Saudi firm buy up the Oakland Coliseum and the SF Cow Palace and do whatever they like with it. Let a bunch of prisoners make parole early. Release the illegal immigrants — they’re all going back to Mexico anyway because the work here has dried up (and for the first time I feel like I can drive into a parking lot on Monument Blvd in the city of Concord without the fear of being mugged by all the hangers-on).
