I haven’t seen it, but isn’t saying “just shoot me already” an exclamation of despair, implying that it would be kinder to put me out of my misery rather than continue what you are doing?

I don’t think it’s very becoming rhetoric, especially when followed up with dousing a colleague with “gasoline”. This is way over the top populist bullshit, and I’m not going to waste a second defending it, or any person that would use it.
