At this point, I seriously doubt the GOP has the brains or the balls to do the right thing if it means angering the Teahadis.

The more and more I listen to the whispering behind the curtains, the more convinced I get that Boehner’s scared shitless. Polls started against the GOP and have only gone lower, the chorus demanding action is getting louder by the day, and Obama’s not budging. He seems to think there’s a sliver of daylight in the admission that the White House would accept a short-term debt ceiling increase, but the backbenchers are already screaming that it doesn’t include anything about the ACA and that’s unacceptable in their view. So, in short, Nancy’s got him by the balls and she knows it.
