DF really is the very epitome of the ‘Good Republican’ as we tend to describe it around these parts. Be concerned about Republican malfeasance when it finally breaks through the bubble, but immediately recoup to find a reason why never to vote for anything else.

Sadly, seems like a lot of people online are just refusing to scratch the surface on this knew email kerfluffle and are convinced it’s the end of Hillary’s chances. More than a few dems and moderates amongst those discarding their chances among the GOPers crowing about now-imminent victory. That’s the problem with the me-first reporting, the substance gets no air time and people latch on to first blush reporting and never let go. First impressions are forever it feels like.

What infinitely frustrates me to no end about DF is I see him capable of being a good person. He can be horrified by homophobia, racism, Islamaphobia, etc but then when he goes into his team GOP mode, it’s honestly like a completely different person. And honestly, I know he thinks he’s standing up for his party but a sensible person reads what he says and it just seems like excuses. And I get that he comes from a Republican family but he’s not the only one here to have that and hell some of y’all are former Republicans/conservatives yourself so I just can’t accept him using his family’s political heritage as rationale for excusing Republican bullshit. You can still love your family and disagree with them politically.
