TBH I didn’t realize how much would change so quickly. I mean you know it would be bad but your inner optimist hoped that maybe it wouldn’t be the total clusterfuck it’s been. The one saving grace is that they’re incompetent in many a way but that’s double edged.

Authoritarian regimes have to move quickly to consolidate power before significant opposition develops.

The nationwide protests (the Women’s march, descent on airports to protest the Muslim ban, &c) have all been peaceful and large. They are getting larger.

Every time GOP reps run from town halls it becomes news (doesn’t make them look very good).
