I’ll defend him on principle, but these tweets by Nathan Lean help explained how I felt about his decision a year ago:

That’s what makes this country great. We can have different interpretations. I just think he doesn’t deserve to be blacklisted over it or be made out to be like he hates this country by people who wave the CSA flag.
