He says things knowing that it will endear him to his ‘hard core base’, but what he doesn’t seem to realize is that I strongly suspect that the vast majority of Americans simply know him as a musician, and are vaguely, if at all, aware of the level of his unbridled hatred for the President. Organizations that want to book him however are well aware of how something like this can bounce on them, and I don’t agree that he’ll be doing car wash openings…. he’ll be wishing to get that good a booking.
