Why should he even pretend not to be a racist? Being unapologetically racist will endear him to the people who love Coulter, Limbaugh, et al. He’s not in a position of mainstream “respectability”, so he doesn’t even need to uphold the pretense of non-racism a la Fox News.

This goes together with my (extremely) cynical prediction that a freshman Republican member of Congress will call the President a “n*****” on the House Floor sometime in the next two years.
