How Christianity helped create American democracy.

Yeah, fleeing religious persecution, a bunch of folks who were Christian (and a few who were from different religious backgrounds) came to the US. And promptly began taking land that belonged to others - Native Americans, Mexicans/Spanish/French/British, etc.

Since then, Christianity has been used to justify slavery, segregation, opposing civil and equal rights, oppose equal rights and protection for minorities and LBGT.
