But they also lack a coherent, compelling vision for anything.
As I’ve long lamented here, the Democratic party is the “I’m not a Republican” party. That may not be bad, but that is what it is.
I’m not sure it can be anything else. I believe ideology is important, but I just don’t see the Democratic Party in the US trying to forge a unifying ideology. It may not be possible, and keep the size of the party.
