I think a lot of Republicans really do not get just how deep the anger runs over the Merrick Garland thing, and more generally the level of disrespect aimed at the first African-American President by the GOP. They think it’s all partisan games, because to them, it REALLY IS all partisan games. It’s whatever they can get away with, justified by weak what-aboutism and unprovable counterfactuals.
