Logic, rhetoric, and probability. So many people don’t really get any of these.

My late Mother-In-Law taught school, and was by no means a stupid woman. I had to work very hard to convince her that playing the same numbers over and over doesn’t incrementally increase their chances each time they lose.

It doesn’t, but it does make a person go insane if they play different numbers and their regular numbers win. Once you’ve locked into particular numbers, you’re trapped.
