I’m just saying that the pendulum has swung way too far over. In 2016 we thought Trump couldn’t win; now we are terrified that he is nearly unbeatable, when in reality any other candidate with polling like his would be viewed as a bleeding swimmer being circled by sharks. Unified Democrats, energized to beat Trump, should be heavily favored.

he’s not nearly unbeatable. he’s very beatable.
what he has this time is advantages he didnt have the first time.
incumbency and a pretty well built propaganda machine that knows how to deliver its message to the willing horde.

and unlike trump, i’ve learned. i am cautiously aware that since he did it once, and so far against the odds, he could do it again.

with all that, as you say, there are many many indications that he’s got some serious structural problems that maybe he cannot overcome.
