Take the Ten Commandment’s stricture “Thou shalt not steal.” Seems pretty cut and dried. Theft is objectively wrong.

That brings up the entire question of property and property rights. Not at all a clear-cut or objective matter.

It was simple for a nomadic tribe; everybody knew who those sheep or that tent or that knife belonged to…but things started getting complex when we started owning land and creating currencies.

And those who would insist that “property is theft”.
