The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act does not block that kind of lawsuit. This is because it didn’t argue that “a gun with those (lawful) featured should not have been produces”, instead it argued that the company was not taking the proper standard of care to ensure its firearms were not sold to criminals. “Due care” is a different type of suit than a product liability suit.
