If all those people would have had guns there would have been permanent gun banning laws passed.

In both the Raj and the South, the primary myth was of benevolent stewardship of a lesser people, belying a reality of calculatedly disproportionate retaliation for any form of violent resistance…and in the South an ongoing terror campaign that was not part of the state, but served the ends of the state. Passive resistance was a tactical as well as a conscientious choice.

These big talking types fail at both history and strategy. They really seem to be stuck in an action movie mindset.
