I was wondering that. The show seems to be getting back the macabre feel of the Hinchcliffe/Holmes days, though not with quite the same ease and assuredness. The skin balloon was just trying way too hard.

It didn’t come anywhere near the creepiness of The Empty Child, though I don’t think they were attempting to anyway.
