MS-13 unfortunately is a problem here in the D.C area but there’s also a lot of great El Salvadorian immigrants who are students, business owners, etc. My SiL’s older sister’s husband is one of them. Guy speaks three languages, works at law firm, and is quite honestly one of the most kind people I know. My grandmother is literally his sister in law’s grandmother in law and he’s always so friendly and considerate to her when he visits. And the poor guy has been through so much.

On the FBI’s list of gangs and the problems they cause, MS-13 is down the list—they’re there, but way behind several biker gangs.
