re: #78 jaunte

The answer is … yes.

The fact is that Porter lied on his SF 86 if he omitted the restraining order.

That’s a violation of 18 USC 1001.

That’s the same thing Jared Kushner did - lying and omitting information from the SF-86.

In Kushner’s case, he lied multiple times because he continued to omit the June 2016 Russia meeting from his revised submissions.

Each omission is a separate violation.

Each violation is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

Trump undermines national security every day these guys are on the payroll and in the WH doing whatever it is they’re doing (and if Porter didn’t have full clearance, then what was he doing in his role since it requires having full clearance - breaking the law by having access to classified info, or he had someone else doing his job for him)?

No matter how you cut this, everyone associated with this craven cabal of cronies is corrupt.

Kelly’s in deep trouble here too, enabling Porter to hang around despite these problems.

But ultimately it’s all on Trump who ignores basic security protocols. He’s more interested in tweeting bullshit and listening to Fox and Friends kiss his ass and golfing.

All the while, the GOP obliges his bullshit.
