She’s freaked the living daylights out of me more than once when I’ve gone down there to feed and clean them. She has a knack for finding places where only her eyes will reflect light back at me. Super ninja stealth kitty. My cat, on the other hand, has all the subtlety and nuance of a brick. He’ll take off from wherever he is and run straight to me whenever I open the basement door.

L.C. has stealth capabilities as well. Black fur, black paws, black whiskers. He sits on the black office chair at night and just disappears. You just see two yellow eyes hovering in the dark like some sort of Cheshire Cat.
