i appreciate everybody’s reassuring words. i have to say, though, i remember 1968, i was a teenager then, and despite the riots and assasinations i remember a different flavor than now. i recall the despair of the murder of our heroes and the election of nixon - now the war would go on and the ‘america, love it or leave it’ crowd would reign supreme - but a number of important battles had been won and progress still had momentum

i dont believe the evils will put themselves back into pandora’s box if and when trump is defeated. the haters have been instructed that to be a good person - “politically correct” - is wrong and dangerous, and that if hillary wins it will only be a sign of the corrupt power of, ahem, “international bankers”. not for nothing was this phrase enunciated this afternoon and the time was taken to point out that carlos slim is, in fact, mexican

i dont know what’s going to happen after election day but i dont expect sweetness and light
