my elderly 98 Ford Ranger has a place on the dash where I can disable it as needed (such as when there is a child or smaller person in the passenger seat).

The Subaru, sadly, does not.

I did find instructions on how to do it if we decide to go that route. I could probably manage it on my own. We just have to decide if that’s what we want to do.

I mostly just want to throw a lot of things right now, which isn’t terribly helpful.
