The term “Concentration Camp” dates back long before the Holocaust. Spanish general Maximiliano Weyler y Nicolau rounded up the families of Cuban insurgents and put them in “Campos Renconcentrados” along the railway lines for easy supply. The British copied the technique and the term in South Africa. No disrespect to Holocaust victims, but they don’t own the term. “Vernichtungslager” on the other hand….
