That’s not a sign of his unraveling. That’s a sign of his trying to destroy his opponents — he used similar tactics to defeat his 16 primary contenders and to win the general election. He is trying to damage her to help with winning back the House in 2020. Let’s not underestimate the effectiveness of his strategy, which has led to victory after victory for him, and losses for everyone else.

Fair point. But for the most part, his ‘successes’ in the primaries came mostly against male opponents, and when he went after Carly Fiorina about her looks he caught some righteous shit for it.

And that was when he was a (politically) unknown commodity. Now that he’s been on the job (kinda) for 2 years and people know what a dick he is, attacking Pelosi is just as likely to be seen as bullying a woman. A lot of his psychodrama doesn’t play as well now as it did in the primaries.
