I don’t knowabout the bison, and I can’t remember when he started going goofy, mid 80s maybe. He came out with a loony cartoon about super hero kidz saving the planet.

Captain Planet & The Planeteers! 1991, I believe. Even G.I. Joe went enviro-crazy in the 1990s.
