I am still completely bemused that people like Sen. Smith completely ignore and deny video evidence.
Totally sticking fingers in his ears, closing his eyes and saying, “lalalalalalaa, I can’t hear you!”

In fairness to Smith, perhaps he misspoke and meant to say that both Earth and Mars had both experienced similar rates of temperature change. It is still a stupid argument but not as obviously stupid as claiming that the temperatures of the two planets are the same. I think it is important to address his actual argument than what he said by mistake.
