Ha thanks!

I grew up Independent Fundamentalist Missionary Baptist (IFB) in the South, and I can’t tell you how many times I had to hear people whine and cry about what those wicked Pharisees did to that innocent Jesus guy. They even fawned over Jesus torture/murder porn (other than the Gospels), used to pass around this book called The Day Christ Died (1957) that supposedly recounts the drama of what happened medically during the Crucifixion. Bill O’s Killing Jesus was just a poor imitation of that book.

So yeah, it burns me up that they’ll whine for f***ing centuries about how Jesus was tortured despite his innocence and then just look the other way and justify it all when it in happens in real life.

They’d have killed Jesus just as quickly and Cheney would have done it all again in a four-stroke-engine revolution.

Wasn’t the death of Jesus planned and executed by God? Wasn’t that death also necessary to absolve us poor humans of original sin?
